Gi is the traditional training uniform that consists of a Gi top, Gi bottom and a belt. For Gi classes, you must wear the belt you have been promoted to. If you have never trained before, you will be starting with a White Belt.
We recommend beginners (adults) to start with a Gi class, whereas it is compulsory for kids to start with Gi classes.
Importance of a Gi
Symbol of Responsibility and Discipline
Wearing and maintaining your Gi teaches self-care and ownership. A reminder of being present, be responsible and accountable for what is yours.Prepare Yourself for Training
The moment you put your gi on, it brings forward the mindset of training, continuous improvement and growth.Advanced Techniques
Training in the Gi opens the door to advanced techniques. It challenges you to adapt and improve.A Complete Martial Art
Starting with the Gi offers a deeper understanding of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

For No-Gi, we wear rashguard and fight shorts without the traditional Gi. This modern approach to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) has grown rapidly in popularity, driven by its practicality and versatility in self-defence and MMA (as commonly seen in UFC).
