Success: Pembe’s World’s Greatest Shave Fundraiser

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Pembe, our student at Clube De Lutas - a brown belt and an active competitor - led a remarkable fundraiser for the World’s Greatest Shave and Leukaemia Foundation.

We had the opportunity to contribute a part to her fundraiser by hosting an open mat and the shaving ceremony at Clube De Lutas Seven Hills. Together, we have successfully reached and exceeded the $3000 goal, raising an incredible $3850, with $850 over the target!

From the outset, support poured in from every corner. The gym was abuzzed with excitement as friends and family contributed to the final round of fundraiser and the shaving ceremony.

Pembe's bravery in shaving her head to raise funds for cancer research and support services inspired all who attended. Cheers erupted as she faced the clippers, symbolising unity and compassion in the fight against cancer.

But the true highlight was the overwhelming generousity of those who attended. Every donation, big or small, contributed to the remarkable total, demonstrating the power of collective action and community support.
